Mixed Heritage Theraputic Art Workshop
The Mixed Heritage Therapeutic Art Workshop is creative space for individuals who are of mixed heritage to explore their identity.
This is a creative and therapeutic experiential space for individuals who are of mixed heritage to come and make around their experiences of being between cultures.
We are using the definition of mixed heritage as the fact of having two or more different racial, ethnic, religious, or cultural backgrounds. (Cambridge Dictionary, 2026)
The session will be run by two HCPC registered Art Psychotherapists who are of mixed heritage.
The workshop will goes as follows:
11:30-12:00 introductions to the group and what art therapy is/how art making can be used to navigate complex thoughts and feelings.
12:00-12:45 art making, art materials will be provided but you are welcome to bring any materials you wish to use in the workshop
12:45-13:30 reflections on the art making and artwork, a check out before the session finishes and some time for Q&As.
There will be a survey sent to participants before and after the workshop.
Some water and tea will be provided at the workshop and there is public green space that can be accessed to sit and drink/eat in.

Introduction to Garden Design for Urban Enviroments is a full-day, practical workshop intended to teach basic garden design principles.
Whether you are planning your own garden, considering a career in garden design, or simply interested in understanding the design process, this workshop will provide a solid foundation from which to develop your skills and ideas.
Helping you understand how successful gardens are planned, designed, and brought to life. Set within our award-winning community garden, the session combines classroom-based learning with practical observation and discussion. As an organic garden, we place a strong emphasis on environmentally responsible design practices, demonstrating how sustainable choices can enhance both the beauty and functionality of urban outdoor spaces.
The workshop is led by Charlie, our Head Gardener and an experienced horticulture teacher, who brings both professional expertise and an approachable teaching style to the session. This workshop will cover;
The challenges of designing for small urban environments
Developing initial concepts and garden themes
Site analysis and preparing a space for development
Drawing simple garden plans to scale
Core principles of effective garden design
Sustainability and reducing environmental impact through thoughtful design
You are encouraged to bring a notebook and pencil if you would like to sketch ideas during the session. Sukkot - Sukkat Shalom Interfaith Dinner

A Sukkah is a temporary, open structure symbolising hospitality (hachnasat orchim), vulnerability, and the welcoming of strangers. Gardening for Beginners
Gardening for Beginners is a hands-on workshop designed to give you the confidence and practical skills to start growing successfully.
Whether you are a complete novice or already have some experience with plants, you will leave with a clear understanding of essential gardening techniques and the confidence to begin or develop your own garden with purpose and success.
Set within our award-winning community garden, the session combines practical learning outdoors with a supportive, classroom-based introduction to key principles, ensuring you understand not just what to do, but why it works.
As an organic garden, we focus entirely on sustainable methods of caring for plants and soil, equipping you with knowledge that is environmentally responsible and easily transferable to your own growing space. There is plenty of opportunity to ask questions throughout, and participants are encouraged to engage fully with both the theory and the hands-on elements of the day.

Pattern-Making Workshop

In this workshop, participants will learn how body measurements influence clothing design, explore basic pattern pieces, and create their own paper pattern for a simple design such as a T-shirt, trousers, or an A-line skirt.
